I sort of hope Gaulter can reclaim his shoes. Walking barefoot in the city is not a good thing unless you are some sort of Fakir.
I think Gualter will need a snow shovel to pick up all his stuff at this point! 😀
Even after the near-screwup, Lana is still thinking about others. By asking the drug lord to go back inside, she is giving the duo (and her contact) a chance to run away and hide.
Maybe they will meet up, compare notes, and act intelligently? Or will there be a jurisdiction fight that will cause more trouble for Lana?
Acting intelligently may be a little too much to ask, but they’re definitely not giving up on the case!
Say what you will, but Gualter and Joanna are still doing a lot better than many other characters we’ve seen in this webcomic. They had a nasty shock, but they kept moving and still managed not to get captured.

Not many spies out in traffic, is my guess.
Especially Gaulter…How could he get through traffic duty when he couldn’t even get through *traffic* without getting run over? Relatively speaking, he’s lucky it was only one motorcycle & not one eighteen-wheeler!
