“A lot of people quit for some reason.” Given her competency, I’m rather surprised she doesn’t. Though that would kind of end the story.
Then again, maybe not. I can see an episode in which she does quit and tries working for other spy agencies, only to get tired of the sheer boredom of regular spy work, or tired of her new bosses constantly trying to stab her in the back in some way. She comes back with a new appreciation of her incompetent, but completely honest, boss.
That’s a good point. Of course, it might be hard to get hired by another spy agency. Working for the Agency probably isn’t a great credit to have on your resume.
What i find vaguely disturbing is that even with the kidnapping and attempted murder it can be argued that Snake is a lot more useful than Lanas boss. At least Snake had a reason for what he did while Lanas boss usually put her in and through all sorts of nastiness through pure incompetence.
I actually did kind of see this one coming. It’s the only thing that makes sense from a story point of view, just having her beat him up and escape would be anti-climatic.
Genius solution! He’ll get killed, or will quit, after being assigned the kind of missions that only Lana can pull off. Specially with the miserable intel, backup and logistics the boss and the agency usually deliver…
“…after being assigned the kind of missions that only Lana can pull off.”
Well, it all depends on if Snake is ready to take on the guys in the way that Lana usually does. If he’s really good enough, he might put Lana out of a job…Then she can make a living selling shoes!
There’s the windup….
😀 😀

Yes, Snake should probably think twice about this offer! 😀
He’s….THAT…..stupid.
Pretty much! 😀
Oh .. cannon fodder. 🙂
😀
Just need a really big cannon to shoot him out of. 🙂
I’m sure Lana would be glad to locate one. 😀
Ha ha clever turn in the plot, just what i like in your storys 🙂
Thank you!

Well, that was unexpected. Good ending. 😀
Thank you! (Although it’s not quite over!)
Now he’ll need to get revenge on her for getting him to work at that agency…
She can’t win! 😀
I give him one mission maybe two before he back to trying to kill her.
It could work out…. maybe… sorta….
