The Chief just sux. I really hope that some time in the future he gets his ass handed to him. I’d usually be concerned over a female protagonist in this kind of situation, but Lana is like a supe without powers except for her own innate charms and badassery.

hey Sean, I found a book series called “the girl from L.U.S.T” from back in the 1960’s…my first thought was “oh this was definitely an inspiration for Lana”

Of that’s interesting! I don’t think I’ve seen that series before. I see what you mean, though, it’s got some definite similarities!
“The Lady from L.U.S.T.”, a typical period James Bond spoof. Difficult to get much on it other than the author (and his pen name), and brief blurb. Or was there an earlier version?
yeah, “lady from L.U.S.T.” my mistake. the whole series has had the copyright abandoned, as the publisher went under without transferring any of the rights. I’ve seen it in a few places free to download. the little bit I’ve read it seems to be equal parts softcore porn, spy novel, and old school pulp.
the sort of book that if she read it, lana would be hunting for the author, for stealing her life story LOL

That may be giving the Chief too much credit for planning! 😀
So the Chief sends Lana to meet a guy whose name she doesn’t know, or who or what he is, nor his relationship with the mystery girl with no panties, or why in the first place. Less of a problem while they get horizontal for a bit of grunt and thrust, but more of a problem once they get vertical again if he starts asking her questions. How much does the Agency pay? Might be a better career move to just become a call-girl anyway.
Better pay, better hours, no phone calls from the Chief; it does have its advantages! 😀
