So Josh was in the alley instead of somewhere more protected because he was supposed to just quickly defeat the lock and return the empty case to Lana. Only that plan didn’t fly because Josh 🙂
Lovely view of Lana in panel 2. Then her look of utter incredulity in panel 3! I foresee dark things in Josh’s future.
Something tells me the punks beating Josh are going to get a good view and a beatdown very soon (unfortunate for Josh his shirt’s been pulled over his head).
Ya’ know. Statistically speaking, Josh has to do something right once in a while, even if it’s by accident. (He picked a fine time to not be accident prone…)
Seriously, why open the case right there? Why not drive up a special van with blanked windows, armour plating and specialised equipment inside? Not to mention someone who has a better idea of what they’re doing?
Why Josh?
Why, Lana? Why?
You know, you’d think Josh would show you how stupid he can be but then again he just seems to take it as a challenge to take his stupidity to new heights.
I mean, I think all of us readers thought Josh went down the street to an alley at the very least in a half assed attempt to potentially lose any pursuit from parties that want the case.

Yes, things definitely aren’t looking good for Josh! 😀
Well at least he got to come looking for him.
Yes, true! 😀
shoulda known Josh would lose the numbers game.
Not a huge surprise, considering it’s Josh.
Fully trained agent vs. two half-drunk idiots; winner should be obvious. Josh is always subverting expectations.
You can always count on him for that!
They trained him wrong as a joke!
Or the trainers were equally incompetent. Either’s a possibility considering the agency they work for.
Yeah, with the Agency, you never know!

He may still get the beatdown, though! 😀

Josh hasn’t even reached stopped-clock level yet!
It must be so tempting to join those two in kicking Josh’s ass!
No doubt! 😀
Probably, but then she might have to put on *some* clothing. We can’t have that sort of thing happen here, can we?
Right! Lana is famous for her sense of decorum!
Seriously, why open the case right there? Why not drive up a special van with blanked windows, armour plating and specialised equipment inside? Not to mention someone who has a better idea of what they’re doing?
Why Josh?
Why, Lana? Why?
Why Josh; the eternal question! 😀
My theory is that the boss keeps Josh around, so that there’s one person in the agency who’s more inept than he is.
That’s as good an explanation as any.
The answer to all those questions is: The Boss.
Quite true! 😀

One should never assume Josh is doing anything right, even in a half-assed way. 😀
Josh uses his whole ass at all times. Even when he should be using his brain…
To be fair, it’s hard to tell them apart.
Give him his due, he does at least have a notion about gun safety.
It’s not exceptional, but better than some.
Well, his brain is a lot smoother, but it’s hard to get that skull open to see it.
Yes, it’s awfully thick! 😀
Maybe he should try using his pancreas or something.
It couldn’t be worse!
I’d say Lana should set Josh up as an intended-to-fail distraction but, knowing Josh, he wouldn’t even fail right.
