Excuses. Lana is quite capable of securing transportation if she really wants to, but she deserves a little vacation, and Von Charles’ bank account is paying for the expenses. Of course the chief isn’t smart enough to figure this out.

The reason that what the chief doesn’t know won’t hurt him *this* time is because Lana’s not there to “enlighten” him.
They no longer see her as a hero? But she just saved them from a hostage situation. Is it because she did it the smart way instead of the flashy guns-blazing way? Or were they just that dumb that they didn’t realize they were being held hostage? The sort of “I’m rich and powerful, nobody would be foolish enough to kidnap me” kind of thing? Or is this place so debauched that being held at gunpoint is a typical party game?
I’m going to go with “just that dumb”. 😀

The withdrawal of Lana’s hero status is what hurts the most.
The chief’s incompetence is pretty much par for the course by now.
I’m not sure what it’ll do to the price of those bobble heads.
Depending on what does the bobbling, there may still be a market for them.
I’m not selling my Lana bobblehead, and that’s all there is to it!
