Right now, the general reminds me of a movie about a man who got rich through hard graft, but hated being in the position of having all the money and having to run a business empire.
So he deliberately tanked his own company, allowing him to get back to work building something new.
(Which was shortsighted and selfish, as he had a wife and son, not to mention a company’s worth of people who relied on having a non-asshole in charge. But we were supposed to root for him because he was enjoying getting his hands dirty again.)
We may not have seen the last of the general.
